Daily Diet

I want to share with you the amazing diet I follow every time pounds start creeping up, bloating becomes an issue, or I need some energy to stimulate my daily activities. This diet may not work for everyone. Be sure and check with your doctor before trying any new diets, herbs, pills, exercise or anything outside the norm for you.

This is a diet that works for me and I designed for myself.

Allow a cheat day once in awhile. This diet is for two weeks followed strictly then slowly allow one favorite thing added back in when you have lost the first ten pounds.

Make sure to have Probiotics (Good Bacteria) added to your daily vitamins. Also water with electrolytes will enhance your energy and make sure you don't become dehydrated.  MOVE AROUND is the best thing to do everyday.*Yogurt will provide some probiotics but not enough)


During the day, the following snacks are allowed with no harm done:

Avocado,apples, carrot sticks, celery, almonds (only 6 at a time), radishes, apricots. pretzel sticks, blueberries, Strawberries, Grapes.  (6 ). Limit the amount of each.

An 8 ounce protein or green shake may be substituted for a snack between breakfast and lunch. I also take a multiple vitamin once a day. Drink as much water as you can, at least a full glass at every meal. 50 % of your weight in water so your fat won't feel like an Oasis and hold the water. More water and the fat feels good about leaving.

 

 

Breakfast

(add the strawberries to the cereal and milk if desired).

Blueberries, cherries, Plums and Raspberries can also help with burning of stored fat, cholesterol and converting Carbohydrates into good energy.

Strawberries= 1 cup = 45 calories, 10 carbs. 1 protein. 

Lunch

DINNER(before 7:00 if possible.)

The following condiments can be used with little limit.

Mary Beth Salad

1 head Butter leaf Lettuce, 1 cup raw spinach, 1/2 cup raw mushrooms,3 sliced radishes, raw onion, alfalfa sprouts, garlic powder, drizzle of olive oil, drizzle of apple cider vinegar. (Raw Asparagus, Leeks, watercress can also be used.)

 (can substitute drizzle of Italian dressing or tsp of Mayonnaise.)Can also use Romaine, Green or Red leaf.  Iceberg doesn't contain that many good nutrients but if that's the only lettuce you like, use it.

I also have an awesome recipe for spinach salad under my recipe page. Divide into 4 or more containers-keep refrigerated until used.

When you wake up in the morning, stretch for 2 minutes, twist side to side, arms above head and to the floor if you can. So simple and a great way to start the blood flowing.

After breakfast, lunch and dinner, move around. Take the dog for a walk, go for a swim, clean the house. Whatever it takes to get moving. Keep stretching, gentle exercise and you will love the new you after awhile.
