How excited I am to be able to share all the remarkable things I learn every day from people that I come in contact with.

½ cup dark corn syrup

¼ cup each molasses and sugar

2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

1 cup salted peanuts

1/8 teaspoon of baking soda

Cook first 4 ingredients until blended. Stir in peanuts and boil until a small amount of mixture separates in hard threads when dropped into cold water. (280 degrees on a candy thermometer.)

Stir in soda and pour into a buttered shallow pan. When firm, break into pieces. This will make about 9 ounces. Double for more and use 2 shallow pans.
